What is BrainTrainr?

BrainTrainr is a federally incorporated non-profit and a nimble, largely volunteer-based organization that is Indigenous- and Latino-led. We work to break down barriers to AI knowledge and digital skills, especially for marginalized and equity-deserving communities.

Who do your programs serve?

Marginalized and equity-deserving communities — including newcomers and refugees, Black communities, women, Indigenous peoples, people with disabilities, and others facing systemic exclusion.

What are the 4 Rs?

Relationality, Reciprocity, Responsibility and Respect. They are the values every program and partnership is checked against — see About Us for the full definitions.

Which organizations do you work with?

Three collaborations at present: AiMara Lab (voice-first AI for Aymara language preservation in Peru), Resilient Futures Lab (research and practical AI tools for community resilience) and Alianza Latina (digital literacy for Latino communities in Canada). All three are on the Programs page.

Can I volunteer or partner with BrainTrainr?

Yes — volunteering, partnerships and in-kind support are all open. Use the form on Get Involved and tell us which one fits.

Where is BrainTrainr based?

BrainTrainr is a Canadian non-profit based in Toronto, Ontario, and works virtually. Our programs reach communities across Canada and, through AiMara Lab, in Peru.
